Terms of Service

What Papertis is
Papertis monitors publicly available scientific literature (via PubMed and related sources) for the topics you choose to follow, and selects the evidence that meets our relevance and quality criteria. We generate concise summaries of this literature to help you stay informed. Papertis does not conduct original research and does not claim authorship of the papers it references — every summary links back to its original source.
Not clinical advice
Papertis provides scientific summaries for informational purposes only. It does not replace clinical judgment, official guidelines, multidisciplinary discussion, institutional protocols, or individual patient assessment. Any decisions regarding patient care remain solely your professional responsibility.
Eligibility
Papertis is intended for use by healthcare professionals. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By signing up, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Your account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account.
Acceptable use
You agree not to share your account credentials with unauthorized third parties, attempt to access Papertis through automated means outside of any API we officially provide, interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to circumvent any plan limits or access controls.
Plans and billing
Papertis offers different plans (Essential, Extended, Complete) that determine how much evidence you receive per topic each week. You may change your plan or unsubscribe at any time from your account settings.
Account deletion and termination
You may permanently delete your account and associated data at any time from your account settings; this action is immediate and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate your access to Papertis if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, including the Acceptable Use provisions above.
Intellectual property
The Papertis name, software, and the summaries, selections, and curation we produce are our property or that of our licensors. The underlying scientific papers, trials, and their content remain the property of their respective authors and publishers — Papertis links to original sources and does not claim ownership of third-party content.
Service availability
We aim to keep Papertis available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control.
Limitation of liability
Papertis is provided "as is." While we apply consistent relevance and quality criteria to the evidence we select, we do not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or that any specific paper will be identified. We are not liable for decisions made based on the content provided through Papertis.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by Italian law, without regard to conflict of law principles, and any dispute arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms of Service as Papertis evolves. Continued use of Papertis after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
